More precisely, its not the pump that actually compresses the gas, it simply pumps it.There are two kinds of pipes, one with larger inner diameter, and one with smaller, when the gas suddently passes from smaller diameter to larger, it expands and sucks heat into it, wich cools the air around the pipes in the inside unit, and then a turbine (fan…) just blows it to the room and the gas eventually reaches pump wich pumps it into small diameter pipe again.
